It may not seem important, but knowing the exact time can be very important in certain lines of work. It may also help to know what time it is in London, Washington DC or other important cities in the world, if you have business partners there. Anuko World Clock will replace the standard system clock with a large array of clocks, for one or more time zones of your choosing. The application comes with time sync capabilities, as well as time conversion, and many other useful tools.

Anuko World Clock is compatible with most Windows editions and it is not hard to install. You only need to download a 3.66 Mb setup kit and follow the wizard's instructions. The application will run in the background at all times, but it will not slow down your computer.

The application will replace your standard Windows clock. By default, it places two digital clocks which display your local time and the time in a different country. An analog clock will be placed on your desktop as well and you can move it anywhere on the screen by dragging it with the mouse cursor. You may add new clocks, customize existing ones, synchronize them, change the time and date manually and more, on Anuko World Clock's preferences window. The software comes with a news reader as well. You can add any number of RSS feeds in one of the window's sections and read the news themselves on a different window.

The options on the preferences window are organized in a tree structure. It may look a bit overwhelming, but it will not take long to adapt. Some of the options categories can be expanded to reveal various sub-categories and they can be selected with check boxes. The good news is that they contain the exact same options for adjusting different clocks. To make it even easier, you may double click one of the clocks to go directly to its related category in the preferences window.

It is possible to add new sets of options for additional clocks and move them up or down in the tree menu. Once added, you need to click the parent folder's check box to add the new clock on your desktop or task bar. The contained options let you change a clock's appearance, format, make it digital or analog and of course, set the time to local or select a different time zone.

You can specify a different time zone by selecting a city on a map, which is similar to Google Earth. The map is displayed on a separate window. Cities are listed on the right side and you can find one by its name or country and filter the list to show cities or time zones. Alternatively, you may click a city on the map itself. Once selected, you can access photos from that place, in your default browser or click an Apply button to associate its time with one of your clocks.

Pros

The application lets you add any number of clocks on your desktop or the task bar. It is possible to customize any aspect of a clock, including its time zone. Anuko World Clock provides many other features, for synchronizing clocks, reading news, converting time, setting up alarms or activating stopwatches.

Cons

You may need some time to learn how certain features work. With Anuko World Clock, you will know the exact time, down to the last second, from any major city in the world. Its other features will help you keep track of your task, keep up with the latest news and much more.
